Transportation

  1. Which airport is closer to the show complex - O’Hare or Midway?
    Midway is closer at 12.5 miles away; O’Hare is 18 miles from Navy Pier.
  2. Does the show provide transportation from either of the Chicago airports?
    No. The Mid Am Trade Show only provides for shuttle transportation between our three conference hotels (Sheraton, Embassy Suites and Doubletree) and Navy Pier.   3. Where can I find driving directions to the show?
    You can find this information on the Parking & Directions page under the Travel & Lodging section of the Mid Am website.
  4. Will there be a shuttle provided between the conference hotels and Navy Pier?
    Yes. For your convenience, Mid Am shuttle buses will be available to transport you to and from each of our conference hotels and Navy Pier. Schedule information will be provided in the future.
  5. Where can I get my parking ticket validated?
    There is no discounted parking available at Navy Pier.

 

Emergencies

  1. I am diabetic/have food allergies/etc., and may have need of medical assistance. Who should I contact at the show if the need arises?
    In addition to Mid Am staff, security personnel and registration staff, individuals can dial 5060 on any Navy Pier house phone or (312-595-5060) and emergency personnel will come to your assistance.


Accommodations for the Disabled

  1. If I require a wheelchair or motorized scooter, will Mid Am provide them for me? If not, how do I arrange for access to either of these options?
    Mid Am does not provide alternate transportation for viewing the show or participating in the educational opportunities presented. Wheelchairs are available at Navy Pier’s Hospitality Desk located at the front of Navy Pier. A driver’s license will be required. If a motorized scooter is preferred, contact Mars Medical Equipment and Supply at (708) 425-1550. You will need to make your own arrangements for payment and availability.
  2. What if I need additional assistance?
    Contact the Mid Am office prior to the show at 800-300-6103 or 312-321-5130, to describe your additional needs.

Registration

  1. Is entrance to the trade show included with all the educational opportunities?
    Yes, if you registered for an educational opportunity, entrance to the trade show is included.
  2. I signed up for the trade show, and now I want to add a class. How do I do that?
    You are able to add or change classes on your registration via the online Attendee Service Center. Use the login in credentials/password indicated in your registration confirmation email that you received upon registering online. If you wish to add the Pre-Conference Workshop or the Midwinter Conference, you will need to contact the Mid Am office prior to the show at (800) 223-8761 or (847) 526-2010, or go to the registration counter at the show. You will be charged the rate in effect when your registration is received.
  3. Can you tell me if ___________ is exhibiting this year, and the location of their booth?
    That information is readily available on the Mid Am website in the Exhibitor Locator section. If you cannot find the company you are seeking, please call the Mid Am office. The company you are looking for may be a late entry and not posted on the website yet.
  4. When do the Midwinter Conference classes start? Do I need my badge to get into the class?
    Classes start at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, and Thursday, January 20. You need to stop at the registration counter to pick up your badge to allow you entrance to the class. Officials will be at the registration counter 1 hour prior to the start of the classes to assist you if needed.

 

Conveniences

  1. Is there a coat check at the show?
    Yes, location to be determined closer to show dates.
  2. Are there restaurants near the show venue that are open during the time of the show?
    Yes. Concessions will be located inside the show floor for the convenience of the attendees and the exhibitors. Alternately, there are several food options within the Navy Pier complex.
  3. Is there child care at the show?
    No.

 

Lost and Found

  1. Is there a lost and found at the show? If so, where?
    Any articles found on the show floor, in session rooms or registration area may be turned in to the Mid Am registration counter. We recommend that you check here for lost articles prior to contacting Navy Pier’s Security Office or Hospitality Desk.
